Graphic Republik to partner with Epson at Label Expo 2011
High quality halftone and multi colour proofing on show
London (England), September 12th, 2011 - Graphic Republik, the European supplier of software solutions for pre-press, colour conversion and proofing will be joining Epson at Label Expo in Hall 9, Stand H50. The world’s largest label show will take place from the 28th September through to October 1st 2011 at the Brussels Exhibition Centre, Belgium.
At the show, Graphic Republik will be focusing on colour management solutions for the Label and Packaging industry. Used in conjunction with the Epson Stylus Pro range of printers, the latest version of Star Proof will be producing the highest quality halftone proofs whilst supporting the latest HD and NX screening technologies.
Visitors will be able to sample proofs created using the Epson Stylus Pro WT7900 with multiple spot colours and white ink on a range of media using paper, clear film and metallic substrates. Also on show will be MaxColor, one of the latest developments within the MaxPro suite. MaxColor has been developed to automatically reduce printing separations and/or convert CMYK Separations to spot colours. The resultant files will be proofed, using the 9-colour Epson UltraChrome HDR (High Dynamic Range) ink set to produce accurate proofs and mock-ups.

The MaxPro suite of applications is a powerful software solution designed for Prepress professionals. MaxPro allows users to create automatic, semi automatic or manual traps to linework, contone and transparency areas. It has a bespoke monitor calibration system which faithfully reproduces spot colour rendition on-screen and allows for differ ant dot gain curves to be applied on-the-fly.
With Max Step, users have the ability to interactively create bespoke step and repeat layouts, or use pre-defined die cut guides to automatically generate layouts according to the requirements of the printer or converter. It fully supports industry standard formats such as CFF2 and has the ability to produce final layouts for plate or cylinder.
MaxColor has been developed to automatically reduce separations and/or convert CMYK Separations to spot colours. The resultant print uses less ink, with more vibrant colours and a better quality registration whether printing Gravure, Flexo or UV Offset.
